Following aftercare instructions ensures you get the best and longest lasting results from your treatments and should be followed to the best of your ability.

Lash Lift/Tint + Brow lamination/Brow Tint/ Henna Brows

First 24 Hours

  • Do not get your lashes/brows wet

  • Avoid beauty products around your lashes, eyes and eyebrows.

  • Avoid steam rooms, saunas, heat, water or heavy workouts causing sweat.

  • Do not have any other facial treatments.

  • Avoid direct sunlight/ UV light.

  • Try to not touch your lashes/brows.

After 24 Hours

  • Be Gentle. Do not rub or pick at your lashes/brows.

  • Avoid harsh skincare products or products containing oils.

  • Wait 48 hours before applying mascara and avoid waterproof mascara where possible.

  • Reschedule your next treatment in approx 6 weeks.

Hair Extensions

  • Brush your hair before washing to prevent it becoming tangled.

  • Use a good hair mask once a week.

  • Always wash hair in an upright position and never tip your head over the bath to wash, keep the water flowing downwards in the direction the hair falls.

  • Use specialist hair extension shampoo, conditioner and styling products.

  • Do not rub your hair with shampoo or towels. Squeeze shampoo through the hair with as little rubbing as possible.

  • When conditioning your hair only apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of the hair. Avoid the roots and bonds coming into contact with any conditioner. The same applies to hot/cold oils, conditioning treatments, serums or any other oil based/silicone hair products as they can cause the bonds to slip.

  • Blow dry your hair, do not allow hair to dry naturally (Particularly important if you have a weave).

  • Use only extension friendly hair brushes. Bristle type brushes/Tangle teasers are ideal. No bobble ended bristles or round barrel brushes as they can forcefully remove the bonds. Brushes are available to purchase from The Hunnie Hut..

  • Do not brush between the root and bonds as this can cause matting, instead gently separate the bonds with your fingers.

  • A heat protection spray is recommended when heat styling to prevent damage and keep extensions looking healthier for longer.

  • Always attend scheduled maintenance appointments.

  • Tie hair up into a loose ponytail, braid or bun for sleeping.

  • If you have fusion bonds or tapes please do not wash your hair for 48 hours after fitting. This gives the bonds time to set, washing before this time can cause the extensions to slip.

  • TOP TIP!! Styling your extensions is important in order for them to look their best and blend well. We recommend blowdrying whist brushing to encorage the hair to harmonise with your own and then straightening (particularly the top layer of your own hair) before curling or waving. We do not recommend allowing hair to dry naturally as it can cause natural hair to become wavy and frizzy which prevents the extensions blending as seamlessly. I also offer a blowdry and style service, please see price list.

Waxing

Please note: Some slight soreness, bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal reactions after a waxing treatment, particularly if its your first wax. Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours. This means:

  • No hot baths or showers (Luke warm only).

  • No saunas, steam rooms, chlorinated pools or heavy workouts causing you to sweat.

  • Avoid touching/ scratching the area, particularly with unwashed hands.

  • Wear clean, loose clothing.

  • Do not apply lotions, creams or powders to the area unless recommended by your therapist.

  • No sunbeds, spray tans or fake tanning.
